Privacy Policy for LynkPIM DPP Readiness Checker

LynkPIM DPP Readiness Checker is a Chrome extension that analyzes the currently viewed ecommerce product page in order to generate an indicative Digital Product Passport readiness audit based on visible page signals.

Extension-specific policy

This Privacy Policy applies only to the LynkPIM DPP Readiness Checker Chrome extension. It does not describe the general LynkPIM platform privacy policy.

1. What the Extension Accesses

The extension reads the visible content of the current web page selected by the user. This may include product-related content such as title, brand, SKU, description, specifications, materials, care information, repair or warranty language, sustainability or recycling language, structured product data, and image alt text.

2. How the Extension Uses Information

The extension uses this page content only to generate an indicative readiness score and related audit details inside the browser.

3. Local Processing

In the current version, analysis is performed locally in the user's browser.

4. Data Storage

The extension may store the latest audit result, error state, scoring profile preference, debug setting, and related local audit metadata using Chrome extension storage on the user's device.

5. Data Sharing

The extension does not sell personal data. The extension does not use page content to build advertising profiles.

6. Remote Transmission

In the current MVP, the extension does not send audit results or scanned page content to a remote server for processing.

7. Personal Data

The extension is not intended to collect personal data intentionally. It is designed to inspect product-page content and visible product-related signals.

8. Third-Party Pages

The extension runs on third-party ecommerce websites selected by the user. LynkPIM is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those third-party websites.

9. Security

Reasonable measures are taken within the extension architecture to keep processing local to the browser in the current MVP. However, no software environment can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page.
