Privacy Policy for LynkPIM Product Audit
Last updated: 14 October 2026
LynkPIM Product Audit is a Shopify app that reads your product catalog and scores it for missing images, missing alt text, weak titles and descriptions, URL handles, variant images and duplicate products.
App-specific policy
This policy covers only the LynkPIM Product Audit Shopify app. The LynkPIM platform has its own privacy policy.
1. Who we are
LynkPIM Product Audit is a Shopify app made by ITMarkerz Technologies Ltd., Kerala, India, the company behind LynkPIM. For the store data the app processes, the merchant who installs it is the controller and we act as processor on the merchant's behalf.
2. What the app can access
The app asks Shopify for one permission: read products (read_products). It cannot change your products, and it has no access to customers, orders, payments or your storefront theme.
- Product data: title, handle, status, description, images with their alt text, variants with SKU and barcode, and which variants have their own image.
- Store details Shopify shares on install: the store domain, store name and the store contact email.
3. What the app stores
- Audit results for each product: scores, the issues found and a copy of the product fields the score is based on.
- Duplicate groups (products that share a SKU, barcode or title) and the CSV exports you create.
- Your audit settings, and an email address if you ask for the report by email.
- The access token Shopify issues to the app, used only to read your products. It is deleted as soon as you uninstall.
4. How the data is used
Only to run audits, show the results in the app, create the exports and email reports you ask for, and keep the results up to date when Shopify tells the app a product changed. The data is not sold, not used for advertising and not used to train AI models.
6. Where data is processed
- Contabo GmbH: the server that runs the app and its database, in the European Union.
- Cloudflare: network and security in front of the app; requests pass through it.
- Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES): delivery of the report emails you request. Email delivery may be processed outside the European Union.
- Shopify: the source of your product data and of the webhooks that keep audits current.
7. Customer data
The app does not access or store data about your customers. It still answers Shopify's mandatory privacy requests (customer data request and customer redaction); because there is no customer data, there is nothing to return or delete.
8. Retention and deletion
Audit data is kept while the app is installed so you can see your history. When you uninstall, the access token is deleted immediately. Shopify then sends a shop redaction request 48 hours later, and the app permanently deletes your store record, every audit, duplicate group, setting and export file.
9. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data the app holds for your store, or for it to be deleted earlier, by emailing privacy@lynkpim.app. If you are an individual in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
10. Security
Every request from Shopify Admin is checked with a signed Shopify session token, every webhook with Shopify's signature, and each store can only see its own data. Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. No system is completely secure, but these controls are in place and tested.
11. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date. Questions: privacy@lynkpim.app. Support: support@lynkpim.app.
Published for the Shopify App Store listing and public reference.
