A title formula that works
Brand + product type + key attributes (colour, size, material, model) + variant detail.
What this tool delivers
A Google Shopping title decides whether a product is shown and whether it is clicked. This checker scores a title and description against Google's rules and shows the first 70 characters that shoppers see before anything is cut off. It flags excessive capitals, promotional wording, gimmicky symbols, repeated words and missing brand or keyword placement, and says how to fix each.
- Live score and checks
- Preview of the first 70 characters
- Promotional text and capitalisation checks
- English, German and French
How it works
- 1
Paste the title and description
Add the brand and the phrase you want to rank for if you like. They make the checks more precise.
- 2
Each rule is tested live
Length, capitalisation, promotional text, symbols, repetition and spacing are checked as you type.
- 3
See what shoppers see first
The preview shows where the visible part of the title ends, so you can put the important words before that point.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long can a Google Shopping title be?
The maximum is 150 characters. Only the first part is visible in many places, so put the brand, product type and key attributes first.
What is a good title formula?
Brand + product type + key attributes such as colour, size or material + a variant detail. For example: Alder Men's Waterproof Trail Running Jacket, Green, Size M.
Why do titles get disapproved for capital letters?
Google treats titles written mostly in capitals as excessive capitalisation. Use normal capitalisation and keep capitals for brand names and standard abbreviations.
Can I put free shipping or a discount in the title?
No. Promotional text in titles is not allowed. Use a promotions feed or the sale_price attribute to show offers.
How long should the description be?
It can be up to 5,000 characters. A few sentences of 500 to 1,000 characters that describe the product itself work well. Do not include HTML, links or promotional claims.
